Man In The Mirror is a tribute to man that faces a multitude of emotion in the course of a day. This work reveals the deep inner turmoil that resonates within when faced with personal events , national and world news. ( the Paris attacks / Orlando Massacre) I choose a limited black and white palette to dramatically emphasize the angst of the sitter. The technique is a reverse oil method where the canvas is painted black and paint is REMOVED rather than applied to reveal the subject.
