    I love orchids but can never keep them alive, even following the directions exactly, so I had to paint one. I took photos of several orchids in a grocery store one day and put them together to create this painting. I just loved the rich colors and shinny, waxy surface of the orchid and had a lot of fun replicating that. This piece has won several awards in various shows.
