In Natasha Jabre’s most recent work, she employs studio photography to situate her models in color-filtered environments. Using these photographs as keys, she render her models softly in acrylic paint, layering in glazes so that each painting appears spacious and atmospheric.
Natasha is a first-generation Lebanese-American, born in Bridgeport, Connecticut, and raised in Blacksburg, Virginia. She received her BFA in painting and drawing from Concordia University in Montreal, Canada. Represented by galleries in Virginia, New York, and Lebanon, she has exhibited her portraits and abstract paintings across the United States and internationally. She will graduate with her Masters in Painting in the Spring of 2017.
