I have two Amazon parrots and they are the inspiration for this work. Their is a riot of color with the bright bird feathers and their many toys both within and outside of their large neutral colored cages. When they move about there is a blur of all that energy and color which I captured in "Bird". First I laid a foundation of acrylic medium for texture and lines before applying oil. The piece is on archival tung wood panel and does not required a frame. I like it to be free, like my birds.
