    Description

    National Gallery Victoria - Waiting

After a long day at the National Gallery of Victoria Australia, the art-goers were ready to go home.  All on a high from seeing the art exhibition.  The artist, also waiting, decided to do a plein air scratchboard painting of some of the people waiting.  The window has a waterfall and the colours reflecting the warm day outside were beautiful flowed down the glass, making it very inviting and restful.

The colours were achieved with inks used like watercolour - with a fibre brush working in a circular motion, giving a lovely movement to the water.

    Spring Bloom

This painting reminds me of the years I lived in Tucson, AZ. The colors are spot-on for the way the desert looks after some rain. Lovely!
